12 Miles West is in residence at Pizzamore, 62 Park Avenue, Rutherford, NJ. The theater is fully wheelchair accessible.

Large print programs are available for all of our offerings with advance notice to the theater. Copies of scripts for our Main Stage offerings will be made available when requested in advance.

Infrared assisted listening devices are available with advance notice to the theater.

Open captioning and audio description are available for select performances during our season.

Play Submissions

12 Miles West is seeking one-act and full-length plays for various production opportunities including informal readings, monthly staged readings as well as full productions in our Theatre Cafe and Main Stage series. Writers receive no stipend for readings or Theatre Cafe (non-Equity) production; there is a stipend for Main Stage production.

12 Miles West seeks to produce a season of well-crafted scripts which reflect diversity in background and theme. We will consider both original works and adaptations/translations of classic works. Cast size should be between 2-7 characters for one-acts and 2-7 for full-lengths, with a preferred cast size of 3-4. Plays should use a unit or suggested set with no complex technical requirements. Special consideration will be given to plays which are written by New Jersey residents. 12 Miles West practices non-traditional casting where appropriate.

Auditions

12 Miles West is a membership based company that believes in non-traditional casting. We cast primarily from within our membership and require members to volunteer for front of house assistance during performances, attend productions and readings, and be active and productive members of the company.
